nice, but...... August 23, 2010 A. W. Kramer (ct usa) We needed a new thermostat so we went with this one. It works great but the 5 minute delay isn't so great. If you turn off the thermostat and then turn it back on theres a 5 minute delay before the AC starts. To get around this you must leave it on and just let the it switch off by itself once the temp drops down. I guess they are all like this now.
SImple and easy to use June 5, 2010 Bernard Gallagher (Somerset, NJ United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I like this traditional style digital thermostst because it is so easy to set and see the room temperature at a glance. You almost have to be a rocket scientist to use some of today's programmable thermostats. Whereas I just want to set the temperature and forget it.
Digital Thermostat May 31, 2010 Marvin O. Modeen Perfectly replaces the standard round mechanical Honeywell HVAC Thermostat. And man, is it ever an improvement!
Honeywell Thermostat non-programable for Cooling and Heating home September 7, 2008 G. Baptist (New Bern, NC) Honeywell T8775C1005 electronic non-programmable digital thermostat works great so far with the air conditioning unit. Have not tried it on the heat cycle yet since it is still very warm here in NC. One complication is that I had to crawl under the house (oil furnace is 1950's model mounted under the house in the crawl space) and connect a resistor to two terminals on the burner relay. Otherwise when I switch from cooling to heating the thermostat screen will go blank according to the instructions. The resistor comes in the package with the thermostat. I just have to wait for a cold day before changing to heat to see if all is OK.
Not for multi-stage heat pump systems January 7, 2008 A. Thompson (DFW Tx USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Attractive, practical and easy to use. Not suitable for multi-stage heat pump systems, unfortunately.
