This thermostat is easy to install and use. I had previously bought and installed a Hunter thermostat that on occasion would just shut down and not work. You then had to reset the whole thing.
The new Lux thermostat has worked since installed it. No problems

I live in an apartment with a 2 stage heat pump (air source) system and this product has actually increased my energy bill by 30% unless I leave it at a set-point temperature. Don't waste your money!
Great Purchase February 19, 2010

I bought this to retrofit the 'old school' thermostat that came with my house. This product works great and using the copy feature i was able to program each day very quickly. I love being able to sleep in a cool house and waking up to warm one.
The touchscreen is great and the override is easy and very intuitive. actual installation took around 10 minutes and so far i have noticed a 15-25% in oil use reduction.

As a consumer that always seeks to save energy I had wanted to replace my old thermostat with this high end digital one. It works fine but one major problem is how hard this is to set when you go away for a period of time. You have to actually go through and set several time periods for each day rather than there being a going away option that lets you set a temp for the whole week. May seem minor but makes it time consuming to lower temp if you are headed out of town and as a result I end up not doing it for some weekend trips.
