 Just what I needed September 4, 2010

Just what I needed, a digital thermostat that is very basic and mounts vertical. I had limited room horizontal and this fits prefectly in area it had to be placed. Screws to a standard electrical outlet box. Keeps accurate temperature of room. Very easy to use, only higher and lower bottons, can't be easier.

A couple of years ago I bought a programmable digital thermostat. I absolutely hated the thing. You either had to be a scientist to use the thing or keep the manual on a hook near-by in case you wanted to change it's settings. As for saving money, I am sure it made my heating and air conditioning bills higher. When I ran across this simple "set as you want" thermostat I bought it. Now if I want to change settings it is totally simple and works without all the manuals and angst that went with the "requires a genius to operate" type. I love this thermostat! Thank you Honeywell for having the good sense to make one that is simple.

Was amazed that a digital thermostat could be so inexpensive. There's a reason - the unit is completely erratic - the displayed temperature will jump several degrees while you watch. It's sad that Honeywell would put their name on substandard junk.
I recommend the Honeywell TH3110B1000 Non-Programmable digital heating / cooling thermostat instead - it works great.

installation was a breeze, as i only had to connect two wires. instructions were clear, so even more wires would be no problem. it works well, what more can be said?
