A must have thermostat September 2, 2010

This thermostat was way over due. I replaced a mercury style thermostat with this one. I thought I was going to have to get another fan motor for the outside unit because it kept shutting off and sometimes not come on at all. The mercury switch was faulting out. I'm surprised that the heat pump didn't go out. I have had no problems with my AC since installing this thermostat. It is very easy to program and quite versatile. I love the temporary override feature. The fan circulation option keeps the house at a consistent temperature from the floor to the ceiling.

This thermostat was easy to install (you can find a guide online from Honeywell which maps the wiring from just about any thermostat to one of the Honeywell thermostats). It has worked flawlessly.

This is a great thermostat. It has a lot of functions depending one your heating/cooling system. I have a heat pump/air conditioner and this thermostat keeps the house at temperature. It even lets you temporarily modify your settings without reprogramming the whole thing. This is my second unit because I have two central heat/air systems in my house. Wonderful and easy to program.

This is an excellent thermostat but it took some research beyond included instructions to get it wired correctly. I have Lennox heat pump with auxiliary gas furnace, so getting the changeover valve and auxiliary fuel wires on correct terminal took some extra research. There are numerous customizable settings making it work in any situation.
