After trying several less expensive thermostats, the Lux DMH110 was easy to install and has kept my room temp within 2 degrees of my setting.
I am very pleased with the product. I use it with a ventless propane gas fireplace.

I bought this thermostat because I have purchased other items from this company and have been very satisfied with the quality. I am not only a busy mother, but not very good with programming electronics. This thermostat was easy to install and, so far, very easy to operate. The numbers are large and easy to read, so I don't have to run for my reading glasses every time I want to look at the temp. What I thought would be an intimidating project was a pleasant experience. I would definitely buy from Lux again.

Replaced old fashioned, round, dome shaped thermostat. Could not be more pleased! Keeps perfect temp. Easy to see. Easy to use. Easy to install.

As far as the Lux DMH110-010 thermostat goes it's cheap and works as advertised -- so far. Amazon is solid in their deliver as always. It was easily installed but I'm not sure I care for its operation. The reason for my concern is that it appears to activate and terminate the AC connection when ever the set temperature is one degree less or one degree higher than that on the display. For example: if the temp is set to keep the cooling at 78 degrees it appears to cycle ON if the temp reaches 79 and then turns OFF when the temp reaches 77 apparently. I have not seen the display of 79 actually change. Whether this recycling sooner than my experience with prior devices which would cool down two degrees below that set and turn on when the temp reached one degree above that set may cause excessive wear and tear on a system and whether this would use more electricity in the long run verse a thermostat which caused a system to stay on longer is a real concern of mine. My system certainly cycles more often than it did with the prior digital thermostat I had.
Update 10/18/09: Since switching from AC to HEAT this fall I have replaced the Lux thermostat since it tries to maintain the exact temp setting and therefore repeatedly cycles on and off too often. Since I know this would cause more wear and tear on the mechanics of a system it is now trash.
